Powered only by the sun’s rays, the Solar Impulse 2 airplane brought its messages of innovation and clean energy to Hawaii as it neared the halfway point of its around-the-world flight without using fossil fuel.
GEMS PROGRAM BEGINS ACCEPTING CLEAN ENERGY LOAN APPLICATIONS FROM CONSUMERS
The Hawaii Green Infrastructure Authority, an attached agency of the state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, announced today that it has begun accepting loan applications from consumers seeking to finance solar photovoltaic systems under the state’s Green Energy Market Securitization (GEMS) program.

As part of an initiative to clean energy affordable and accessible for Hawaii consumers, GEMS created the loan program for consumers to save money on their electricity bills on the first day of PV installation, according to the state Energy Office.
DOW’s cost of power adjustment rate to remain the same
The cost of power adjustment rate is determined by calculating the sum of two components. The first omponent is the difference between the budgeted energy costs and the projected energy costs for fiscal year 2015-2016. The second component is the difference between the actual energy costs incurred for the most recent 12-month period and the energy costs projected for fiscal year 2015-2016. All energy cost projections are taken from the DOW’s water rate study.

State Adds New Services to Assist Hawaii Condominium Owners
REC created a new email subscription list for unit owners and the general public to provide greater access and wider distribution to relevant educational materials. REC plans to send out materials such as the quarterly condominium bulletin and information on changes to the condominium law, and other useful information through this email list. In addition, REC may occasionally send out surveys to gather information on condominium interests and issues.

Attorney General Pam Bondi filed a complaint against Property Solutions International Corp, Premier 1 Property, Inc. and Marvin Scott for allegedly defrauding consumers out of thousands of dollars.
