Hawaii Real Estate Commission to Hold Standing Committee Meetings and Opportunities for Educational Assistance on the Big Island
HONOLULU – August 21, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The Hawaii Real Estate Commission (REC) will convene its standing committee meetings at the West Hawaii Civic Center’s Community Meeting Hale, Bldg. G, on Friday, Sept. 4.
The Laws and Rules Review Committee meeting will convene at 9:30 a.m., and will be followed by the Condominium Review Committee meeting, and the Education Review Committee meeting.
All interested parties, including real estate licensees, government officials, educators, individuals and organizations are encouraged to participate at these public meetings. REC members and staff will be present and available to answer questions. The committees invite comments and recommendations on current and future programs.
Concurrently, a real estate specialist and a condominium specialist will be available for individual meetings between 9:30 – 11 a.m., or by appointment.
A real estate specialist will be available to answer questions about licensing laws and rules, licensing applications, broker experience certificate applications, examination administration, continuing education, new legislation, real estate commission procedures, educational programs, and other related topics.
A condominium specialist will be available to answer questions about boards, associations, meetings, condominium managing agents, condominium association registration, fidelity bonding, condominium property regime statute, public reports, project registration, new legislation, reserves, and other condominium-related topics.
The Real Estate Branch (REB), as part of the Professional and Vocational Licensing Division, assists the REC in carrying out its responsibility for the education, licensure and discipline of real estate licensees, registration of condominium projects, condominium associations, condominium managing agents, and condominium hotel operators, and intervenes in court cases involving the real estate recovery fund.
