Maui County to Host Free Workshop for Local Volunteer Leaders

The County of Maui Volunteer Center will hold a free workshop titled “Building Community Connections: Unlock Your Volunteer Leader Potential” on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. Volunteer leaders from community organizations and non-profits are invited to attend the workshop.

Real Property Tax Sale Set for Tuesday, June 7

The County of Maui Department of Finance announced it will be holding a real property tax sale on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 and will continue the sale on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 if necessary. The sale will auction off properties that have been delinquent for three or more years and have received their final notice of tax sale.

Public input is requested on water issues and solutions to assist in preparing the Maui Island Water Use and Development Plan (WUDP). Public meetings are scheduled throughout Maui. The WUDP drafted several years ago is being redone to include all water users and water systems on Maui and to focus more attention on our ground, surface and alternative water resources.
