HONOLULU- The 14 th Annual BIA Home Building & Remodeling Show, held January 24 through January 27 at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall, generated an attendance of 22,000 over four event days. Gold Sponsor Honolulu Advertiser and Silver Sponsor BIA-Hawaii Remodelers presented Hawaii’s top contractors, suppliers, building industry experts and associates. The daily seminars conducted by award winning designers and several experts drew hundreds of interested consumers wanting to learn more about
interior design, renovation, new home construction and remodeling trends. The 1 st Annual Future Builders of Hawaii High School Building Competition generated a very enthusiastic response and balanced the attendance impact of the World of Concrete Show in Las Vegas and the weekend functions that filled all available Blaisdell parking.
Karen Nakamura, BIA-Hawaii CEO stated, “Based on the response of our schools and the public, we are planning a 2 nd Annual Future Builders of Hawaii Building Competition and are very excited about expanding this new event to more students in 2009. We strive

Chartered in 1955, the Building Industry Association of Hawaii is a professional trade organization affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders, representing the building industry and its’ associates. The 450 members of BIA-Hawaii are developers,
