WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 14, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — On Monday, July 13 at 7 pm, the County Parks & Recreation Department will be presenting conceptual designs for the Waikapu Community Center Expansion and Waikapu Park Basketball Court Reconstruction projects at the Waikapu Community Association special membership meeting. The County hopes to gain feedback and support of the projects from the Waikapu community.
The Waikapu Community Center Expansion project involves the renovation and expansion of the existing community center, to include the expansion of the hall, improvements to the restrooms, kitchen, roof & ceiling, and interior and exterior painting. Design consultant Riecke, Sunnland Kono Architects, Ltd. will be conducting the presentation for the project at the meeting.
The Waikapu Park Basketball Court Reconstruction project will include the complete reconstruction of the existing basketball court at the same location, to include demolition and replacement of base course, sportcourt type surfacing of the basketball court, and replacement of the basketball standards. The project will also include the demolition of the existing restroom and closure of the existing cesspool, to be replaced with ADA parking.
