LĪHU’E, HI – May 18, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — The County Auditor’s office recently released a report on the overall management of contracts and construction projects by the Building Division of the Department of Public Works.
The audit compares the division’s policies and procedures with “best practices” in the industry, and identifies several deficiencies. Recommendations are also included in the report regarding improvements to the management of large construction projects.
The Building Division audit was conducted in accordance with the standards contained in the Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States.
