Online applications available for summer internship, enrichment programs

LĪHU’E – April 2, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — County officials announced that applications are now being accepted online at www.kauai.gov for the County of Kaua‘i summer intern program, summer youth enrichment program, and the Department of Water summer intern program.

The deadline to apply for the programs is Thursday, May 14. To streamline the application process, there is now one application to apply for all available programs.

The County of Kaua‘i summer internships will be available in the following areas:

accounting; engineering; health care; hotel operations; information technology; planning; and project management.

The summer youth enrichment program, which runs from June 15 to July 24, will have available positions in the following areas: program coordinator; inclusion specialist; east & west coordinators; site manager; recreation aide; ADA recreation aide; teacher; clerk; custodian; and summer pool lifeguard. Additionally, there will be a golf program coordinator and golf recreation aide through the golf program, which runs from June 8 to July 17.

The Department of Water summer internships are available in the areas of accounting, engineering, computers and office/general business. Program dates vary and will be determined by the department.

Those selected for employment will be required to pass a drug test.
