HCDA NEWS RELEASE: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RETIRING AT END OF YEAR

HONOLULU – November 9, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Anthony J.H. Ching recently announced that he will retire from the Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA) on Dec. 31, 2015. Mr. Ching has served as the HCDA’s Executive Director since 2007 and retires with more than 30 years in public service with the State of Hawaii.

After having successful open heart surgery, Ching stated:

“Having experienced what can only be considered a miraculous recovery from open heart surgery to repair a leaky mitral valve with the additional complications associated with suffering a stroke on the operating table, I am happy to report that I’m alive and well! I take this fortunate recovery as a sign from our Lord God, that this is the time for me to step away from public service and look for other opportunities to serve our community and home.
