Fair housing training offered by county

LĪHU‘E, HI – April 19, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — In recognition of April being Fair Housing Month, the Housing Agency is offering a free training session for housing providers.

Landlords, tenants, resident and property managers, association board members, housing agents, as well as the general public are invited to attend. The workshop is scheduled on Friday, April 30, 8:30 am to 3 pm, in the Līhu‘e Civic Center, Pi‘ikoi Building, Housing Agency conference room.
Registration will begin at 8 am.

Current information on fair housing, reasonable accommodations and modifications, and occupancy standard guidelines will be covered during the training session. Featured speakers include representatives from the Hawai‘i Civil Rights Commission, Legal Aid Society of Hawai‘i and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Anyone interested in attending the fair housing training should pre-register by April 26. Space for the event is limited.
