HONOLULU – January 27, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The 22nd Annual BIA Home Building & Remodeling Show was held January 22-24 at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. Hawaii’s top contractors, suppliers, building industry experts and associates created the “Big Show” under one convenient location and generated 24,108 attendees, a 4.0% increase over 2015.

Three “Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU)” seminars generated hundreds of attendees with active Q & A interaction between informed attendees and the Deputy Director of the City & County of Honolulu Department of Planning and Permitting, Art Challacombe. Kitchen and bathroom seminars conducted by industry experts also drew hundreds of interested consumers and the number of participating contractors doubled over last year. The most popular exhibitors featured ADU, contractors, bathrooms and solar energy storage solutions. Exhibitors reported consumer attendees brought lists, took notes, asked specific questions and confirmed follow up meetings and appointments for their home improvement projects.

Gladys Quinto Marrone, BIA-Hawaii CEO stated, “Our exhibitors were very excited with so many people coming to their booths with specific questions and requests for how to provide their products and services for their homes. Our commitment to offer homeowners the convenience of hundreds of Hawaii’s top professionals in the central Blaisdell Exhibition Hall location generates a very successful event for our sponsors and exhibitors.”
